• You are a senior engineering leader with strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience across frontend and backend, hands-on enough to be credible while operating at the level of the org.

• You have built and scaled engineering organisations through significant growth, including hiring and developing engineering managers and tech leads.

• You have led Frontend, Backend, and Reliability functions and know how to design the operating model that lets them work together at speed.

• You enjoy simplifying complexity and turning ambiguous strategy into clear, executable plans.

• You set high standards, attract strong talent, and build trust across teams and with the executive team.

• You are highly driven, accountable, and comfortable owning org-level outcomes.

• Bonus experience includes React Native, Python, and data pipelines.

• Own the engineering function end to end: execution, quality, reliability, and people.

• Design and evolve the engineering operating model as the company scales, defining ownership, processes, and the leadership bench.

• Partner directly with the CTO, the executive team, and Product to set technical direction and ensure delivery against company strategy.

• Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery as the company scales without compromising reliability.

• Hire, develop, and retain a strong engineering leadership team, raising the bar on talent across the org.

• Make the engineering organisation faster, more reliable, and more effective as we scale.

• Shape both short-term execution and long-term platform and architectural strategy.

• Build a leadership bench that lets the org keep compounding without depending on any single individual.

• Build and maintain a strong engineering culture that attracts and retains top talent in Berlin.

• Improve collaboration and alignment across product, engineering, and other stakeholders.

• Lead engineering in a fast-scaling, profitable company and sit on the leadership team.

• Build a lean, high-performing engineering organisation with strong ownership.

• Shape both the platform and the team, partnering directly with the CTO and founders on the most important technical decisions.
