General Accountant

ACG_3507_JOB Our client is a leading gems and jewellery institution who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm. Accounting & Document Management Monitor and audit all invoices and vouchers to ensure absolute validity, accuracy, and compliance. Manage the systematic circulation of documents in accordance with established company protocols. Perform accounting entries for all internal vouchers and incurred financial transactions. Maintain the confidentiality and organized archiving of all corporate documents and records. Financial Analysis & Reporting Collect and evaluate data regarding the company's actual business performance and market situation. Prepare monthly and ad-hoc internal reports, including Financial Statements, Cash Flow, and Revenue-Profit analyses. Aggregate accounting data to prepare Trial Balances from monthly and annual economic transactions. Cross-check and reconcile detailed sub-ledger data with the General Ledger. Period-End Procedures Execute closing entries and cost allocations; perform detailed statistical tracking for all allocated expenses. Manage financial entries for year-end profit/loss transfers and initialize accounting for the new fiscal year. Audit period-end figures, ensuring balance between accounts and verifying opening/closing balances. Administration & Support Maintain an organized, scientific, and secure filing system for all internal records. Carry out additional duties and specialized assignments as directed by senior management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance and Accounting, Corporate Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of 03 years of experience in equivalent roles such as General Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or Chief Accountant. Strong observational skills with a proven ability in problem-solving and logical thinking. High level of attention to detail, prudence, and integrity; demonstrating honesty and trustworthiness in all professional tasks.
