Product Devlopment Manager

ACG_3871_JOB Our client, a fast-growing electronic company in Vietnam, is looking for a qualified talent to join their firm. JOB OVERVIEW Responsible for managing the development of mechanical electrical products, including wiring devices and switchgear, from design and specification setting through development readiness and continuous improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Department Management and Capability Building Lead the Product Development Department and establish work rules and effective working processes. Train, coach and guide team members; allocate work and monitor performance. 2. Product Design and Specification Management Lead mechanical product design for electrical equipment and related products. Set and control product specifications in coordination with Product Planning and relevant departments. 3. Project and Target Management Set and manage quality, cost and schedule targets for product-development projects. Manage development schedules and drive project progress through cross-functional coordination. 4. Product Improvement and Technical Support Review product evaluations, manufacturability and technical risks; initiate appropriate improvements. Support technical discussions on electrical contacts, terminals and customer specification matching when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. At least 5 years of product development experience for mechanical products. Experience as a Product Development Manager or Team Leader. Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and molds. Proficient in 2D drawing, 3D modeling and structural analysis (e.g., SolidWorks). Strong communication, presentation, project-management and people-development skills. Experience in electrical contacts/terminals, customer specification matching and product evaluation is an advantage. English required; Japanese is an advantage.
