The Facility Prep Manager directs, coordinates, and oversees a wide range of building readiness projects, including the internal build-out of distribution and returns facilities. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for building preparation, ensuring timely execution of deliverables aligned with RFIs, RFPs, sales pursuits, and awarded business. The manager is the primary point of contact for all building readiness inquiries and is responsible for planning and overseeing related actions.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage building preparation budgets; ensure compliance and address variances.
- →Ensure building preparation is completed on time and within budget.
- →Collaborate with technicians, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- →Oversee planning, scheduling, and implementation of building readiness to align with design specifications.
- →Consolidate and report building preparation status, dates, and metrics to Project Managers and business units.
- →Coordinate pre- and post-construction site walks.
- →Serve as liaison between real estate contacts, vendors, and internal teams regarding building readiness.
- →Work with procurement teams to manage materials, logistics, and vendors during facility startups.
- →Conduct feasibility walks with Real Estate, Zoning, Permitting, and Infrastructure departments.
- →Coordinate estimates, schedules, materials, and purchase orders for facility prep deliverables.
- →Support site acquisition by evaluating constructible site viability.
- →Track progress of building prep operations including materials, equipment, and resource utilization.
- →Manage detailed Scope of Work documentation and troubleshoot issues to prevent delays.
- →Submit and manage change order requests for General Contractor scope changes; ensure proper approvals.

Requirements

- Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.
