Help the Maintenance Supervisor lead and oversee the maintenance operations of robotic systems, including efficient maintenance processes, KPI tracking systems, and stakeholder reporting frameworks to ensure optimal performance of automated systems. This role requires proven experience leading others on a maintenance team. They will need to be able to set the example for others, help keep themselves and others productive while working with and following the lead of the Maintenance Supervisor.

 

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, team leadership, process improvement experience, and strong stakeholder management skills to help build and maintain world-class robotics maintenance operations.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Team Leadership & Management

  • Serve as the “on-the-floor“ leader for maintenance technicians, directing daily work and setting the standard for quality and safety
  • Mentor and coach technicians on proper repair techniques, troubleshooting methods, and best practices
  • Help the Maintenance Supervisor with scheduling, task assignments, and workload prioritization
  • Step in for the Maintenance Supervisor when they are unavailable

Process Development & KPI Management

  • Support the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs for robotic systems
  • Help track and report on KPIs such as uptime, MTTR, and MTBF
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures; provide feedback to the Supervisor on process improvements
  • Assist in analyzing maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate maintenance status, issues, and progress to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Provide clear shift handoff reports and escalate critical issues promptly
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams on the floor to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Assist in preparing maintenance performance summaries when needed

Documentation & Systems Management

  • Accurately complete and maintain work orders, repair logs, and maintenance records in the CMMS
  • Create SOP for common failure solution and specific tasks
  • Help enforce documentation standards among the technician team
  • Track parts usage and flag inventory needs to the Maintenance Supervisor

Supplier & Resource Management

  • Assist with spare parts inventory management and organization
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating with suppliers on parts and diagnostic tools
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on the shop floor

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in robotic maintenance, repair, and modification of robotic or automated systems
  • 1+ years of experience in a lead or senior technician role, directing the work of other technicians
  • 1+ years soldering, crimping and making electrical harnesses
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Experience creating and enforcing preventive maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload for yourself and others

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience tracking or reporting on maintenance KPIs (uptime, MTTR, MTBF)
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience programming or troubleshooting PLCs
  • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations
  • Experience with project management or work tracking tools (Asana, Jira, Monday.com, ServiceNow, etc.)

 

Salary Range:  

  • $110,000 - $120,000
  • The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
