We are seeking a Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer to support the successful integration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of railway signaling systems. This role is responsible for executing T&C activities, identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and successful system handover.
Responsibilities:
- Execute Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for railway signaling subsystems through successful completion and handover to customers or warranty teams.
- Perform testing activities on railway signaling systems and ensure all T&C processes are carried out in accordance with approved procedures.
- Develop, execute, and support T&C procedures to ensure safe and effective system integration and commissioning.
- Ensure installation documentation provided by design teams, along with instruction changes and field modifications (FMI), are accurately recorded, reported, and approved.
- Conduct detailed troubleshooting of railway signaling systems and equipment to identify root causes of failures and integration issues.
- Define and implement containment and sustainable corrective actions in collaboration with Test and Engineering teams.
- Communicate findings, issues, and resolutions with Installation, Test & Commissioning, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
- Support work planning activities, including pre-work safety briefings and post-work debriefings.
- Escalate technical, safety, or project-related issues as needed to support Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives.
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and railway safety standards throughout all testing and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Installation, Verification & Validation (V&V), Safety, Quality, and Project Management teams to support project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics or Embedded Systems) or a Technical Degree combined with equivalent years of experience.
- Experience with, or strong understanding of, Installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), or Verification & Validation (V&V) activities for railway signaling projects.
- Strong knowledge of railway signaling subsystems and installation processes.
- Familiarity with collaboration and interface management between Design, Installation, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with the capability to anticipate and address challenges effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet project objectives.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to work in the field, including night shifts and weekends, to support project milestones as required.
