Service Reliability Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Reliability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our services to our clients. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to identify and resolve any issues that may impact the performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, as well as a deep understanding of infrastructure and systems administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and maintain the reliability and availability of our services

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address potential issues

- Design and implement systems and processes to improve service reliability

- Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes

- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for our services

- Proactively identify and address potential risks to service reliability

- Continuously improve and optimize our systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in service reliability and infrastructure management

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

- Strong background in software engineering and systems administration

- Experience with cloud-based services, such as AWS or Azure

- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash

- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools, such as Puppet or Ansible

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and work outside of regular business hours if needed
