Job Summary
The Campus Affairs Commission (CAC) seeks to implement and support programming and advocacy avenues for undergraduate students in the Queen’s community. The CAC also aims to advocate within undergraduate international affairs sectors to improve programming and supports. The International Affairs Manager, under the Commissioner of Campus Affairs, is responsible for representing international students within the AMS. The International Affairs Manager will lead and support initiatives, campaigns, and projects, and develop advocacy points to the university to enhance support, programming, and spaces for international students.
Preference may be given to candidates with lived experience as an international student, or demonstrated experience supporting international students, where permitted by AMS policy and applicable law. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Job duties
6-8 hours/week (August)
10-12 hours/week (September – April)
Host events and projects to support community building among international students.
Create and support campaigns to advance advocacy efforts to the university regarding tuition, education, community building, and more for international students.
Oversee and run the AMS International Affairs Centre.
Supervise the International Affairs Deputy and International Student Volunteers.
Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the commission and its operations.
Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively.
Maintain timely communication with the CAC.
Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Attend and fully participate in all in-person and virtual meetings.
Strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for international students.
Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement.
Complete other duties as assigned by the CAC.
