Position Summary:
The U.S. Domestic Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading and building the domestic logistics operation in the United States, supporting the company’s continued growth and expansion within the U.S. Market.
This role will oversee end-to-end domestic transportation, cold storage coordination, , and execution of inland logistics operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of products to customers. The position will work cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Inventory and Back Office teams to provide operational visibility, customer support, and execution excellence across all logistics processes.
This role will be instrumental in creating structure, processes, transportation strategies, and scalability for the domestic logistics division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all domestic logistics operations across the U.S., including inland transportation, cold storage coordination, and final delivery execution.
  • Build and develop the U.S. Logistics structure, processes, transportation strategies, and best practices aligned with company growth.
  • Oversee and manage U.S. Freight operations, including carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, routing strategies, and service performance.
  • Develop and strengthen the domestic transportation network to support scalable growth, service reliability, and cost competitiveness
  • Supervise and develop the Logistics Specialist and US Freight Team, ensuring execution excellence and professional growth.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with transportation providers and third-party logistics partners.
  • Ensure all shipments are executed on time and in accordance with Sales Orders and operational priorities.
  • Maintain strong communication and alignment with Sales, Purchasing, inventory, Back Office, and finance team.
  • Support the commercial team by providing operational visibility, execution support, and responsiveness to domestic customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide full visibility of logistics operations, including capacity, transit times, service levels, and potential operational risks.
  • Monitor and control logistics costs per order, ensuring alignment with budgets, profitability targets and operational efficiency goals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and system updates for full operational visibility.
  • Manage and resolve claims, delays, and service failures, and operational exceptions with carriers and logistics partners.  
  • Ensure compliance with all U.S. transportation regulations and company policies, maintaining zero regulatory lapses.
  • Lead daily operational meetings (huddles) and coordinate execution priorities with the team.
  • Lead weekly visibility meetings with internal stakeholders regarding shipment status, capacity and operational challenges.  
  • Ensure visibility tools and reporting mechanisms are maintained to track carrier performance, rates, operational KPS, and transportation trends.  
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, service enhancement, operational scalability, and customer experience .
  • Ensure proper documentation and processes are followed for insurance claims, freight compliance, and operational controls
Required Experience and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in domestic logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations (U.S. market preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience managing freight operations including FTL, LTL, and refrigerated transportation. (FTL, LTL, reefer preferred).
  • Proven ability to negotiate rates manage carrier relationships, and develop transportation solutions.
  • Experience building, stabilizing or scaling logistics operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to manage costs, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-driven.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work cross-functionally across multiple department.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Leadership experience, including team development and performance management.
