Responsible for reconciling accounts, Elan card oversight, and other accounting duties.

  • Responsible for daily reconciliation of Federal Reserve account, and the weekly and monthly proofs of other correspondent bank accounts.
  • Responsible for Check Reconciliation System daily reconciliations.
  • Sets up fixed assets.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reconciliations and monthly block postings of prepaids and accruals.
  • Supports our internal customers regarding foreign wire and currency.
  • Post daily general ledger entries on the Navigator system.
  • Responsible for balancing interoffice and following up on outdated tickets.
  • Assists employees, vendors, clients, or external customers by answering questions related to accounts and services.
  • Responsible for posting descriptions to income and expense postings made at the teller line.
  • Shares responsibility with the Financial Reporting Accountant to produce several monthly reports and reconciliations, including the payroll proof, the Bank’s Contributions, Dues, Sponsorships, etc
  • Oversees the transaction side of the Bank’s Elan Corporate Card program- reviewing all transactions from employees and ensuring their accuracy, securing proper documentation, and overseeing the posting of all such items.
  • Can support the Financial Reporting Accountant with maintaining and creating Business Analytic reports for the department as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining the FTE report.
  • Complies with all banking related laws and regulations communicated to the employee through training and/or written correspondence and those requirements reflected in the Bank's policies and procedures applicable to the employee's duties and/or areas of responsibility. Protects all customer information and institution assets and complies with privacy and acceptable use policies.

Requirements

  • Two or more years progressively responsible accounting experience.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles and experience with bank reporting and regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with multiple computer applications, specifically word processing, spreadsheet and database management software as well as coding data-based reports.
  • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
