Delaware North Australia is hiring Kitchenhands to join our team at Melbourne Airport. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Sandwich Hand and a Kitchenhand, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.

Must be available for early morning shifts, with production start times from 5:00am and kitchen shifts from 8:00am.

 

• →Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area  
• →Conduct temperature and quality checks, effectively managing cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards 
• →Support kitchen team members in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace  
• →Take on hands-on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher, and handling cleaning chemicals  
• →Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills  

  

• Previous experience in a sandwich hand or kitchenhand, preferred
• Food Safety Certificate
• Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
