Transcription Specialist -- Portuguese (Mozambique)

Join us as a Transcription Specialist and contribute to improving AI-driven speech recognition. You will review audio files, transcribe spoken content accurately, and refine transcripts to ensure high-quality data that supports the development of advanced language models.

Your role in this project is to listen to audio recordings and create accurate written transcripts of what is spoken. These transcripts will help improve AI-powered speech recognition systems.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Transcribing audio recordings into text with high accuracy
• Capturing speech exactly as spoken, including pauses, filler words (e.g., "uh," "um"), repetitions, and incomplete sentences
• Adding timestamps to match the audio
• Identifying and labeling different speakers in conversations
• Marking non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, or unclear audio

Attention to detail and strong listening skills are important to ensure high-quality transcription output.

To qualify for this project, the following requirements must be met:

- Excellent knowledge of and familiarity with spelling conventions in Portuguese language.

- Can be located anywhere, but must be fluent in Mozambique dialect.

- Good reading comprehension skills in English.

- Stable internet connection.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to review examples and apply rules to the provided data.

- Prior experience with transcription.

- Prior experience with audio data.

- Access to a PC/laptop or an iPad.

You will be paid at the published rate per audio hour. Tasks are presented in units of varying audio lengths, and you may complete as many units as you wish.

All submitted work must meet the required quality standards. Failure to meet quality requirements may result in task rejection.

This is a project-based opportunity with CrowdGen, where you will join the CrowdGen Community as an Independent Contractor. If selected, you will receive an email from CrowdGen with instructions to create your account, complete setup requirements, and proceed with participation in the project.
