Mechanical Engineer

Role Responsibilities: * Perform engineering analysis under general supervision * Design or modify basic mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications under general supervision * Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects; identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues * Perform and document engineering test reports; generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases * Perform engineering analysis; troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficulty under general supervision * Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes as needed * Enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle, as needed Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree * 7-10 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: * Working experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles Added advantage if candidate has experience in semiconductor wafer fab equipment design ## Qualifications ### Education: Bachelor's Degree ### Skills ### Certifications: ### Languages: ### Years of Experience: 4 - 7 Years ### Work Experience: ## Additional Information ### ### Shift: Day (India) ### ### Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time ### ### Relocation Eligible: Yes ### Referral Payment Plan: Employee Referral (Enhanced) Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
