Opto-Mechanical Engineer IV (E4)

Role Responsibilities: * Lead and/or design the opto-mechanical solution of complex subsystems. * Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex mechanical problems with limited to no supervision * Develop detailed component and assembly drawings to meet tight tolerancing requirements across production and prototype configurations. * Perform mechanical analyses to ensure performance stability under operational and environmental conditions. * Design sub-assemblies to achieve sub-micron alignment and long-term stability. * Define and optimize sub-assemblies to maintain system performance across required temperature operating ranges. * Define and own the opto-mechanical interface between optical, mechanical, and electrical subsystems. * Lead integration and alignment activities for prototype and production optical systems. * Develop alignment procedures, optical bench setups, and calibration workflows * Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports; specify and review engineering documentation; specify or perform complex engineering analysis * Develop, design, or modify engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications of complex scope * Design for manufacturability and HVM, including the development of key suppliers. * Communicate with internal and external customers regarding a wide range of complex mechanical issues for specific projects * Generate product specifications and drive product design lifecycle. * Serve as a technical lead or subject matter expert on cross-functional program teams, communicating design status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to program management and stakeholders. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
