Quality Assurance Analyst I

The Quality Assurance Analyst I supports delivery of reliable full-stack software by planning, executing, and improving quality assurance activities across web applications, APIs, integrations, and release environments. The role develops and maintains automated functional, regression, and end-to-end test coverage using modern browser automation frameworks, with emphasis on repeatable testing across supported browsers and environments.

The Quality Assurance Analyst I partners with developers, product owners, and delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle to identify functional, security, interface, and data-quality defects early. This position supports test-environment readiness, defect triage, release-readiness activities, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end testing process.

• →Design risk-based test approaches, test cases, test data, and traceability artifacts aligned to functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and integration dependencies.
• →Build, maintain, and execute automated UI, functional, regression, and end-to-end test scripts using Playwright and Selenium, including reusable test components, stable locators, assertions, synchronization, browser coverage, and failure diagnostics.
• →Perform API testing to validate service behavior, request and response structures, authentication and authorization handling, error conditions, data integrity, and integration workflows.
• →Execute smoke, regression, functional, exploratory, and security-focused testing across development, test, staging, and production-like environments.
• →Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines; analyze test results, screenshots, logs, traces, and test reports to isolate failures and support timely remediation.
• →Identify, document, prioritize, and retest software defects with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, supporting evidence, business impact, and release-risk context.
• →Support test-environment readiness by validating configurations, coordinating test-account access and test-data setup or masking, and escalating environment or dependency issues.
• →Participate in peer code and test-automation reviews, defect triage, requirements refinement, and release-readiness activities to improve test coverage, maintainability, reliability, and software quality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in software quality assurance, software testing, test automation, requirements analysis, programming, or related information technology disciplines.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and executing automated browser-based tests using Playwright and Selenium.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, regression suites, and defect reports across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, and API testing for web-based applications and services.
• Ability to identify, document, track, and retest defects using clear evidence and effective communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, Certified Selenium Tester, or comparable software testing certification.
• Experience integrating automated test suites with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, version-control tools, test-management platforms, and defect-tracking tools.
• Experience testing applications in a highly regulated federal environment with formal documentation, auditability, security controls, and release processes.
• Familiarity with secure testing practices related to input handling, session management, access controls, authentication, authorization, and insecure service interactions.
