About the Role

~1 min read

We are looking for a seasoned Quality Engineering leader to join a high-performing, distributed technology team. In this role, you will define and drive the quality strategy across complex, large-scale software environments — establishing testing standards, leading a talented QE team, and ensuring every release meets the highest bar for reliability, performance, and security.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to embed quality at every stage of the software delivery lifecycle. The team operates in a modern Agile/DevOps environment and serves a regulated industry domain, where precision and accountability matter.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a QE team, fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across all testing disciplines.
  • Define and own the overall quality strategy, including test planning, execution governance, and quality metrics across functional and non-functional dimensions.
  • Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and repeatable delivery.
  • Drive adoption of GenAI-enabled testing tools and agentic testing approaches — including autonomous test execution, self-healing scripts, and intelligent test orchestration.
  • Oversee non-functional testing workstreams, including performance, scalability, security, and resilience testing, ensuring systems are production-ready.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into structured test strategies and detailed execution plans.
  • Champion quality within Agile ceremonies and DevOps workflows, providing input on Definition of Done, shift-left practices, and risk-based test prioritization.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards applicable to financial services and other regulated domains, maintaining audit-ready documentation and traceability.
  • Communicate quality status, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Testing, with proven experience leading QE teams.
  • Strong expertise in: ○ Functional testing (manual and automated) ○ Non-functional testing (performance, scalability, security, resilience).
  • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience with GenAI-enabled testing tools or AI-assisted test design/execution.
  • Exposure to agentic testing approaches (autonomous or semi-autonomous test execution, self-healing scripts, or intelligent test orchestration).
  • Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
  • Experience working within or supporting financial services or regulated domains.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into structured test strategies and execution plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
