About the Role
~1 min readWe’re looking for a FinOps Specialist to support our day-to-day finance operations with a strong focus on Accounts Payable, Reconciliation, Payroll, and Taxation.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone early in their finance career who enjoys structure, precision, and learning the rhythm of financial operations in a fast-moving startup environment. You’ll work closely with our Finance & Operations team to ensure smooth payment cycles, accurate accounting records, and timely statutory compliance.
Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, wallets, and accounting ledgers.
Track outstanding payables and coordinate with internal teams for timely closures.
Support end-to-end vendor payment processing — from invoice validation and approval routing to final disbursement.
Assist in monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in salary data, deductions, and statutory contributions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
Help prepare and maintain taxation-related records, including TDS and GST entries, filings, and reconciliations.
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation in tools such as Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks.
Support month-end closing activities, audits, and compliance checks.
Collaborate with HR, business operations, and vendors to resolve discrepancies or data mismatches.
Contribute to small process improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial workflows.
Requirements
~1 min read2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, reconciliation, payroll, taxation, or operational finance.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, payroll workflows, and tax compliance.
Good command over Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and familiarity with ERP/accounting tools (Zoho, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.).
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a learning mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
As a FinOps Specialist, you’ll get hands-on exposure across payables, payroll, and taxation, learning how real financial systems operate in a fast-moving fintech environment.
