## About the role
This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
ATB’s Senior Manager, Sustainable Procurement is a strategic individual contributor role responsible for the day-to-day execution and delivery of ATB’s comprehensive sustainable procurement program. This role ensures the integration of sustainability and diversity practices into ATB’s procurement and supply chain. Working closely with the Director, the Senior Manager manages, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of daily program initiatives and makes data-driven recommendations for improvement and serves as the primary strategic expert, acting as a high-level advisor on the sustainable procurement landscape. This role will engage internally with key stakeholders and externally with community organizations, industry groups, diverse vendors, and peer organizations to execute the program.
## Accountabilities
Strategy Execution
* Lead the implementation of sustainable procurement strategies and policies aligned with ATB’s sustainability commitments, including social impact, Indigenous Relations, vendor diversity, environmental initiatives, and compliance with relevant legislation.
Operational Excellence
* Lead and mature the integration and evolution of sustainability criteria and standards in sourcing, procurement and vendor management procedures.
* Drive vendor diversity engagement program including:
* Engaging with Indigenous vendors and organizations, and other diverse vendors.
* Managing the program for knowledge/skills transfer to the diverse communities.
* Documenting feedback and lessons learned to integrate into sustainable procurement strategy.
* Lead information sessions on procurement to increase awareness and understanding of procurement processes for potential Indigenous and other diverse vendors.
* Identify Indigenous businesses, support the Indigenous Vendor registration & verification process, and maintain an Indigenous vendor database for the organization.
* Lead vendor engagement and communication programs to raise awareness, build capabilities and foster collaboration on sustainability issues and best practices with incumbent vendors.
* Establish vendor reporting requirements in partnership with Director and cross-functional teams.
* Monitor the program in real-time, act as the central information conduit, and drive cross-enterprise collaboration to advance the sustainable procurement roadmap.
Research and Insights
* Identify, monitor and evaluate sustainability trends, risk, and opportunities in the supply chain to embed learning into the sustainable procurement program.
* Measure and translate sustainable procurement metrics into strategic data driven insights for leadership, internal steering committees, board reporting and external disclosures.
Relationship Management
* Partner, collaborate, and build strong relationships across the organization to integrate sustainable procurement strategies and build awareness.
* Actively seek advice and feedback from cross functional leadership on the effectiveness and the opportunities with ATB’s sustainable procurement program.
## Skills, experience & requirements
* University Degree preferably in the supply chain, business, financial, economic, or sustainability field.
* 7+ years of relevant experience in a strategic role within supply chain, strategic sourcing, vendor management, third party risk management or sustainable procurement.
* Understanding of sustainable procurement best practices, including Indigenous procurement, diversity and inclusion, environmental stewardship, and ESG legislative requirements.
* Strong business acumen, with proven ability to translate data/analytics into strategic insights, coupled with strong project and change management capabilities.
