JOB DESCRIPTION:
Audubon is currently seeking an OT Solutions Supervisor to join our team in the Metairie, LA office. The OT Solutions Supervisor will provide technical leadership and direct supervision of engineers and specialists delivering operational technology (OT), industrial networking, and cybersecurity solutions for industrial clients.
This position supports the Automation & OT Solutions Manager in managing personnel, coordinating project execution, and maintaining technical quality. The OT Solutions Supervisor will remain actively involved in technical delivery while mentoring staff, supporting client relationships, and ensuring assigned work meets scope, schedule, budget, and safety requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise OT engineers and specialists, establish work priorities, assign responsibilities, and hold team members accountable for technical quality and project commitments.
- Coordinate staffing and resource allocation across projects and support assignments, balancing workload, employee capabilities, utilization, and client needs.
- Lead execution of assigned OT projects, including scope development, deliverable planning, progress tracking, budget monitoring, and coordination with project managers and automation teams.
- Provide technical oversight and hands-on support for industrial network design, segmentation, switches, firewalls, secure remote access, and integration with control system infrastructure.
- Oversee deployment and support of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, backups, disaster recovery, system patching, and other infrastructure supporting industrial operations.
- Guide OT cybersecurity assessments and implementation activities, including asset inventory, system hardening, access control, vulnerability remediation, and incident response planning.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex OT issues and coordinate troubleshooting with clients, vendors, and internal specialists while protecting plant safety and system availability.
- Review technical deliverables, configurations, test procedures, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with project requirements, client standards, and Audubon quality procedures.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, migrations, and system changes with client operations personnel, using approved change management and recovery procedures.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and vendors, clarify requirements, report progress, and resolve technical or execution issues promptly.
- Support proposals and business development by preparing technical scopes, labor estimates, schedules, and resource plans and identifying additional OT service opportunities.
- Develop and maintain OT standards, templates, engineering tools, and reusable documentation to improve consistency and execution efficiency.
- Mentor staff, identify training needs, and support hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee development in coordination with management.
- Identify project and operational risks, escalate issues requiring management attention, and support client audits, cybersecurity assessments, and corrective actions.
- Promote and comply with Audubon and client health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) requirements during office and field activities.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline required.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in industrial OT, cybersecurity, or automation systems integration.
- Previous supervisory, technical lead, or mentoring experience preferred, with the ability to direct technical personnel and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial Ethernet networks, TCP/IP, switching, routing, firewalls, network segmentation, and secure remote access.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware and/or Hyper-V, backup and recovery systems, and patch management in industrial environments.
- Understanding of PLC, DCS, and SCADA architectures and the interfaces between control systems, industrial networks, and supporting infrastructure.
- Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISA/IEC 62443 concepts and their application to industrial environments.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, reviewing deliverables, developing estimates, and coordinating work within project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to clients, operations personnel, and management.
- Experience in LNG, refining, petrochemical, chemical, pipeline, or offshore facilities preferred.
- Relevant networking, virtualization, or cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
- Ability to travel to client facilities and support field implementation, commissioning, and troubleshooting as project requirements dictate including travel to offshore facilities by Boat or Helicopter.
