Production Coordinator- M-F 7am-3:30pm

• →Support cycle counts, physical inventory activities, and inventory-reconciliation efforts.
• →Provide backup coordination support for production-planning and inventory-control activities as assigned.
• →Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives supporting safety, quality, inventory accuracy, production efficiency, and customer service.

• Perform all duties in accordance with plant safety requirements, Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area and promptly communicate safety concerns.
• Follow established safety requirements when entering or working in production, warehouse, and material-handling areas.

• Review daily sales order entries for sign frames, kits, railing, and other assigned products.
• Review minimum and maximum inventory forecasts and determine production requirements.
• Evaluate sales demand, stock requirements, available inventory, work-in-process, production output, run-size efficiency, and schedule-board priorities.
• Create and release production work orders based on customer demand, inventory needs, production capacity, and established schedules.
• Determine appropriate work-order quantities and timing while maintaining efficient production run sizes.
• Monitor schedules and adjust priorities when demand, inventory, material availability, production capacity, or operating conditions change.
• Communicate schedule changes and production priorities to operators, warehouse personnel, and department leadership.

• Create work orders for Production, Molding, Kitting, Routing, Mating, and other assigned operations.
• Ensure work orders contain accurate product, component, quantity, and scheduling information.
• Coordinate mating and assembly work orders, including reducers, WEPs, and other applicable components.
• Monitor open work orders and follow up regarding status, shortages, delays, or incomplete transactions.
• Correct work-order errors and coordinate necessary changes with affected departments.
• Confirm completed work orders include appropriate packing documentation and the required quantity of product labels.
• Ensure completed work orders are accurately received, closed, or advanced to the next process step.

• Collect completed production orders and receive finished goods into inventory daily.
• Verify completed quantities against work orders, packing lists, pallet quantities, and supporting documentation.
• Confirm inventory transactions are accurate and completed within required timeframes.
• Review physical inventory, system inventory, and work-in-process quantities to identify discrepancies.
• Investigate and coordinate corrections involving production quantities, pallet counts, packing lists, or inventory records.
• Communicate with operators and warehouse personnel to resolve inventory and production-reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory activities, and inventory reconciliation as needed.

• Review material requirements associated with current and anticipated production demand.
• Maintain a weekly material inventory report for applicable purchased items.
• Monitor the availability of materials and components required for scheduled production.
• Identify potential shortages before they affect production or customer requirements.
• Communicate material concerns to Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and other appropriate departments.

• Create and coordinate work orders for the Kitting and Routing Departments.
• Ensure kits and routed components are scheduled in alignment with the overall production plan.
• Coordinate post kits, routing and shearing, alignment spacers, foot blocks, and other applicable components.
• Monitor kitting and routing progress and adjust priorities as production requirements change.
• Coordinate Molding Department priorities to ensure required components are produced according to production needs.
• Communicate changes in demand, quantities, scheduling priorities, shortages, and delays to affected departments.

• Maintain regular communication with Sales regarding customer orders, changing demand, priorities, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with Production and operational leadership to confirm sales orders are supported by the production plan.
• Communicate production constraints, inventory shortages, material concerns, and schedule changes to affected stakeholders.
• Provide timely updates regarding work-order status, inventory availability, and expected production completion.
• Build collaborative working relationships across Production, Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, Molding, Kitting, Routing, and related functions.

• Identify situations in which demand, inventory, work orders, production output, or system records do not align.
• Gather information from operators, warehouse personnel, Sales, and other departments to determine the source of discrepancies.
• Coordinate timely corrections and follow through to confirm issues are resolved.
• Escalate material shortages, capacity concerns, scheduling conflicts, and significant inventory discrepancies when needed.
• Recommend improvements to production-planning, work-order, inventory, and communication processes.
• Assist with standardized work instructions and documentation for assigned processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing coordination, or a related role preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or building-products environment preferred.
• Experience creating and managing production work orders strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of inventory transactions, cycle counts, material planning, and production reporting preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production requirements.
• Ability to interpret demand, inventory information, schedules, and work-order documentation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and applicable production-planning or inventory systems.
• Ability to perform basic calculations involving quantities, inventory balances, production rates, and material requirements.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments.

• Work is performed in both office and active manufacturing environments.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, use a computer, and move throughout production and warehouse areas.
• May occasionally be required to bend, reach, stoop, or lift and move materials or documentation weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment may include moving mechanical equipment, production traffic, dust, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels.
• Requires adherence to all applicable safety, PPE, workplace-organization, and Standard Work requirements.
