Principal Structural Engineer

• →Leading the delivery of structural and civil engineering design across projects of varying size and complexity
• →Managing project programmes, budgets, resources and change control
• →Acting as a technical authority on structural and civil engineering design
• →Carrying out technical reviews and providing guidance to project teams
• →Preparing tenders, fee estimates and technical proposals
• →Supporting bidding activities and contributing to successful work-winning opportunities
• →Developing and maintaining strong client relationships to identify future project opportunities
• →Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the Civil & Structural team in Scotland
• →Monitoring project performance and reporting to senior leadership
• →Supporting the delivery of safe, sustainable and innovative engineering solutions
• →Mentoring, coaching and developing junior engineers
• →Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes
• →Supporting the continued growth and capability of the Civil & Structural team

• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE)
• Significant post-chartership experience within a consultancy, design or engineering environment
• Proven experience leading projects and managing engineering teams
• Strong understanding of current civil and structural design codes, standards and best practice
• Experience delivering projects within sectors such as power, defence, life sciences, public sector or major infrastructure environments
• Experience contributing to bid submissions, tender preparation and client development activities
• Strong commercial awareness, including budget management and change control
• Experience working within integrated multi-disciplinary design teams
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements
• Full UK driving licence
• Current SC clearance or the ability to obtain clearance
• SER Certified advantageous
