As a Chemical Technician, you will support field operations by monitoring process conditions, conducting testing, and maintaining equipment performance. You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
As a Chemical Technician, you will build your technical expertise in chemical applications and industrial processes while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will gain hands-on experience through structured training and contribute to delivering reliable and efficient field operations.
Monitoring application operating parameters to ensure optimal performance
Conducting field and product tests, recording data, and communicating results to supervisors
Performing routine maintenance on equipment as directed
Managing product inventory, including reporting, ordering, and coordinating deliveries
Developing a general understanding of industrial and business processes
Participating in the LEAD – Field Specialist Development Program and completing required training
Ensuring all activities comply with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements, and company core values
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational and customer requirements
Have a two-year Technical College degree or equivalent (preferred)
Have knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, or petroleum engineering concepts (preferred)
Have a basic understanding of industrial processes and business principles
Have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Have effective communication and teamwork abilities
Have the ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to varying weather, heights, and PPE requirements
