Responsibilities

  • Manage direct-material and outsourced-service (OSV) commodities across tiered aerospace suppliers.
  • Develop and execute direct, regional, and global commodity strategies.
  • Negotiate and implement long-term agreements (LTAs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and required contractual flow-downs.
  • Source capital equipment, facilities services, repairs, MRO tooling, and revert-metal requirements.
  • Drive, track, and report cost-reduction initiatives across multiple sites.
  • Develop should-cost, clean-sheet, PPV, inflation, and surcharge analyses; negotiate price protections, productivity, rebates, and cost pass-through terms.
  • Lead supplier transitions, qualification activities, and global agreement implementation.
  • Manage supplier capacity, lead times, recovery actions, and supply-continuity risks, including dual sourcing, long-lead materials, business-continuity plans, and geopolitical exposure.
  • Establish supplier scorecards; lead performance reviews, corrective actions, and SBLO reporting for U.S. and UK/EMEA sources.
  • Lead technical and commercial reviews of RFPs, RFQs, and contracts.
  • Lead cross-site demand and supply reviews to manage demand changes, supplier commitments, expedites, and excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Improve inventory accuracy, inventory turns and carrying-cost performance.
  • Support the VP, Global Supply Chain in negotiating, closing, and implementing strategic contracts.
  • Travel of 15–25% may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems to manage supply, demand, and supplier commitments.
  • Aerospace procurement or commodity-management experience, including direct materials and outsourced services.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, benchmarking, cost reduction, and contract management.
  • Working knowledge of global logistics, customs, duty drawback/tax reclaim, Incoterms, and UK–EU–U.S. cross-border trade requirements, including USMCA where applicable.
  • Working knowledge of UK and U.S. export-control requirements, including UK Export Controls, U.S. EAR/ITAR, sanctions, and restricted-party screening.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Small Business Liaison Office (SBLO) requirements, including supplier classification, reporting, and subcontracting-plan performance.
  • Knowledge of aerospace supplier qualification and performance requirements, including AS9100, Nadcap, customer flow-downs, corrective action, and supplier risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional projects, resolve issues constructively, and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup functions; proficient in Word and PowerPoint.

 

  • Knowledge of REACH, UK REACH, RoHS, and other applicable environmental and product-compliance requirements.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, APICS/CPIM, CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience using Coupa, including supplier onboarding, sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier performance reporting.
  • Advanced Power BI experience to develop, analyze, and communicate supplier, spend, savings, risk, and performance metrics.
  • Experience managing commodity strategies across UK, European, and U.S. aerospace sites.
  • Proficiency in an additional European language.

 

Education Requirements:
·         B.A. or B.S. degree or a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience
