About the Role

Assist Rostering Officers to:

  • Maintain rosters for support workers and make and respond to routine client and support worker telephone calls.
  • Provide an excellent customer experience through phone contact primarily and occasional face to face contact with support workers, clients, families, agencies and internal staff.
  • Assisting rostering officers to ensure support workers rosters accurately reflect service requests.
  • Contacting clients regarding their rostered bookings, prior to actual service provision.
  • Inputting accurate service notes and information into Council's client management system in a timely way.
  • Communicating with support workers to provide routine day to day rostering changes and support.

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to handle high volumes of incoming and outgoing phone calls.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the needs of older people, people with disabilities and their carers.
  • Ability to backfill rostering officers during planned and unplanned leave following training.
  • Experience working in the administration of aged care programs would be well regarded.

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
