The Public Affairs team within the Cities practice works with thought leaders, award-winning institutions and major advocacy groups, including the New York Immigration Coalition, the New York Housing Conference, the Citizens Budget Commission and the Regional Plan Association.

 

About the Role

BerlinRosen is seeking an Account Executive to join our team working on public affairs. This role will focus on supporting a variety of strategic communications through BerlinRosen’s competitive research practice. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about issues including land use and urban planning, social issues, housing, economic development and health care. The person best suited for this role will have excellent writing and organizational skills, plus internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, political campaigns, and/or government.

As an Account Executive on the Cities & Public Affairs team, you will…

  • Implement strategy, creative brainstorming and campaign planning for multiple high-profile accounts
  • Manage media monitoring and rapid response for BerlinRosen accounts.
  • Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents including vetting reports, research memos, and fact sheets. 
  • Oversee day-to-day communications with clients, including staffing weekly calls, and analyzing press coverage and writing event recaps. 
  • Manage work streams across multiple accounts
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in strategic communications from working in politics, government or advocacy or with a PR agency, media outlet or in-house communications team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives

 

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $70,000-$80,000
