What We Offer

~1 min read- →Establish rapport with youth ages 6-18 and provide fun, meaningful meal services
- →Prepare and serve meals and snacks daily according to food program requirements, menus, and product provided from available inventory and donated goods
- →Monitor food inventory and communicate which food items are available and need to be utilized
- →Complete required daily meal service records and documentation, with both paper and online records
- →Ensure kitchen operations meet Utah Health Department standards and Food Bank meal service requirements
- →Perform a variety of cleaning duties:
- →
- →Clean food preparation and service areas (sweep, mop, clean sinks and counters)
- →Dishwashing
- →Clean cafeteria tables with approved bleach solutions
- →Wash towels and aprons
- →Periodic cleaning of storage areas, refrigerators, freezer, oven, stove, and shelving
- →Follow strict hygiene and safety practices
- Able to learn and navigate required nutrition and meal service websites
- Able to perform basic computer tasks and read and follow written instructions
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and implement Trauma-Informed Practices to create an environment of safety, awareness, trust, and empathy with youth and fellow staff members
- Social-emotional competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making
- Ability to work in high-energy, loud, and active settings with large groups of youth and teens
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Club Members, peers, etc.
- Some group management skills are an advantage in this role
Requirements
~1 min read- Willing to acquire and maintain a current Food Handler Permit
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Able to stand for extended periods of time (5 hours consecutively)
- Able to lift up to 50lbs sporadically throughout work shift
- Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, stretch, etc. throughout a regular work shift
- 18 years and over
- Spanish/English bilingual
