Binnie is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Langley Development Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities and private developers alike. Typical projects include road and utility improvements and replacements, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control and major residential, commercial, and industrial developments.


You will be based out of our Langley office. This is a full-time position, which also offers a hybrid working arrangement.


You will work with our experienced Senior Project Managers and our talented engineering team to ensure we meet our clients’ needs. This is an excellent opportunity for advancement. You will utilize your excellent client networking and business development skills to secure new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients.


This is a dynamic and challenging role with a competitive compensation package and opportunities for career advancement. A relocation reimbursement will be offered if relocation is required for the opportunity.


YOUR ROLE:

  • Engaging in active business development
  • Acting as the key contact on projects working with stakeholders, consultants, contractors and support staff
  • Preparing proposals and reports in coordination with our proposal team (under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager)
  • Prepare for and attend project meetings, including presenting to the clients
  • Coordinate with your Division Manager and other Project Managers to secure the required Binnie resources necessary to complete your project deliverables on schedule
  • Coordinate with the technical design team for client deliverables, including technical input to the deliverables where required.
  • Complete monthly invoicing and return all invoices to the Project Biller by deadline
  • Developing project schedules and coordinating resources
  • Monitoring budget and progress on projects
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to the project design team


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 4+ years of experience in a relevant industry, local experience in land development or municipal engineering projects preferred.
  • At least one year of exposure to project management and a basic understanding of project management principles and processes including overseeing accountability of project delivery metric
  • Post-secondary education and/or credentials such as P.Eng., AScT or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet commitment deadlines while working concurrently on multiple projects
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a professional consulting environment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle
  • Solid civil engineering design experience and progressive project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $87,020 - $135,300 annually. The final salary for this role may vary based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
