Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support production uptime by troubleshooting and repairing a range of industrial equipment during the overnight shift
- →Investigate issues involving control systems, motors, electrical components, and machine support hardware
- →Address equipment interruptions in a safe and timely manner, helping return systems to service with minimal delay
- →Carry out planned upkeep activities, including evaluations, calibrations, repairs, and component swaps on facility equipment
- →Assist with upkeep and repair of motion, power transmission, fluid power, and other mechanically driven systems
- →Use diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation to guide repair decisions and verify proper operation
- →Follow established safety practices, including lockout tagout and standard plant procedures
- →Communicate clearly with operations and maintenance teammates regarding equipment status, repair progress, and shift turnover details
- →Contribute to maintenance improvement efforts by identifying recurring equipment concerns and practical corrective actions
- →Maintain reliable on-site attendance for the assigned third shift schedule
- Experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance technician work, or related equipment repair in a manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical fundamentals, including motors, drives, and control components
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-related equipment is required, and broader controls familiarity is helpful
- Ability to diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to conveyor systems, gear reduction assemblies, pneumatics, hydraulics, or similar production equipment
- Ability to interpret schematics and apply a methodical, safety-first troubleshooting process
- Trade training, technical education, or equivalent hands-on experience is valued
- Additional exposure to welding, fabrication, robotics, automation, or CNC equipment is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when needed
