Let's be upfront.

This is one of the largest and busiest hotels in the region.

With over 620 guest rooms, airline business, multiple departments, a unionized workforce, ongoing recruiting needs, employee relations matters, compliance requirements, and daily operational challenges, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being in the middle of the action.

If you are looking for a quiet office job where you process paperwork all day, this is probably not the right opportunity.

If you enjoy solving problems, helping people, staying organized, and being the go-to person on property, keep reading.

You will report directly to the General Manager.

You will also receive guidance and support from the Regional Director of Human Resources at the corporate level. While support is available, this is not a role with daily on-site HR supervision.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, making decisions, managing priorities, and taking ownership of their responsibilities.

No two days are the same.

You may start your morning onboarding new hires, spend time assisting managers with staffing needs, answer employee questions regarding policies and benefits, coordinate recruiting interviews, conduct file audits, process HR paperwork, assist with payroll-related issues, participate in employee meetings, help managers navigate union contract requirements, and end the day assisting with an employee relations concern.

At any given time you may be:

  • Recruiting for multiple open positions
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Conducting pre-screen interviews
