We are seeking a high-performing Private Credit Investment Analyst. In this position, you will support the Blue Earth Capital Private Credit team focused on the Americas (with a particular focus on Latin America as well as the US & Canada). The role offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle – from pipeline screening to structuring, due diligence and transaction execution, as well as ongoing portfolio management. We are looking for someone who brings strong foundational experience and can directly contribute to our investing activities, directly impacting investment opportunities from day one. The position is full-time and located in Madrid, Spain.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all stages of the investment lifecycle for the Americas team, including but not limited to:

    • Screening: Help assess early-stage investment opportunities, prepare screening materials, support pipeline development, contribute to sourcing calls & meetings. Maintaining up to date pipeline records. Conducting thematic research on sectors, markets, and macro trends relevant to the investment strategy.

    • Due diligence & transaction execution: Review of investment materials and datarooms, virtual & on-site due diligence, investment memo preparation, qualitative and quantitative credit risk analysis including financial modelling, impact/ESG evaluation, support on closing workstreams such as KYC, facilitating internal processes and stakeholder management.

    • Portfolio monitoring: Work with portfolio companies during the investment period alongside the deal team to proactively monitor performance through reviewing reporting materials, process amendments & waivers. Supporting internal reporting, valuation updates, and portfolio reviews.

  • Assisting with the team’s and firm’s fundraising objectives, such as contributing to ad hoc fundraising requests, periodic updates of marketing materials and DDQs.

  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the platform, such as supporting corporate projects, contributing to our annual impact reporting process, and other ad-hoc team priorities or administrative tasks.

2–3 years of relevant experience, e.g. leveraged finance or other applicable sell-side / investment banking experience (preferably but not necessarily in credit), buy-side private credit or equity, or advisory/audit
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (preferably in credit), with a track record of producing high-quality investment work
Self-motivated and proactive team player able to operate independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Business fluency in Spanish and English is required, including ability to conduct calls and prepare written materials in both languages
Personal or professional experience in Latin America or other emerging markets is a plus
Motivation for impact investing and/or development finance
Authorization to work in Madrid is required
