Funeral Director & Embalmer

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned funeral home serving Weatherford and surrounding communities. This organization is seeking a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join their team during a period of growth and transition.

This role is ideal for a dual Texas-licensed professional who values compassion, teamwork, and serving families with dignity and professionalism.

• →Meet with families to arrange funeral, memorial, burial, and cremation services
• →Direct and oversee visitations, funerals, and graveside services
• →Perform embalming and preparation of remains in accordance with Texas regulations
• →Complete required documentation, including death certificates and permits
• →Coordinate with clergy, cemeteries, crematories, florists, and vendors
• →Participate in rotating on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• →Maintain preparation rooms, facilities, and equipment
• →Work collaboratively with a team-oriented staff to meet family needs
• →Ensure compliance with all state, local, and professional standards

• Active Texas Funeral Director License (required)
• Active Texas Embalmer License
• 1-3 years of experience preferred; newly licensed candidates also encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate, professional demeanor when working with grieving families
• Ability to adapt quickly and support a team-based environment
• Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must pass background check and drug screening
