Box is looking for a Backend Software Engineer III to join the Box Apps team in Warsaw.

Responsibilities

→Develop new backend features focused on high scale and performance.
→Collaborate with frontend-focused team on planning, requirements and API contracts.
→Solve challenges related to distributed systems at scale.
→Measure system performance; identify bottlenecks; optimize accordingly.
→Build internal tools supporting testing automation, deployment pipelines & product support.
→Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across geographies.
→Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
→Contribute code reviews ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
→Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.

WHO YOU ARE:

→You have 4+ years of professional software development experience.
→Proficient in Java; familiarity with other scripting languages like Python or Scala is a plus.
→Experienced working within Linux environments.
→Comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
→Knowledgeable about container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
→Strong communicator who meets deadlines reliably while collaborating effectively within teams.
→Passionate about learning new technologies & applying them pragmatically in production environments.
→Fluent English speaker capable of working seamlessly across international teams.
→Familiarity with GraphQL, FrontEnd development and NoSQL databases is a bonus.
