JOB SUMMARY
Provide a professional and positive employee services (guest, conference, and food services) experience and ensure the company’s branding and professional standards are exhibited for employees and corporate guests that support the organization's culture and priorities.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support for on-premises food services locations and functions: Cafeteria, Cafe/Coffee Shop, and Vending Machines.
  • Responsible for sanitizing areas through the safe and appropriate use of cleaning agents, chemicals, or solvents.
  • Replenish drip coffee stations, condiments, beverages, salad bar, general supplies, food products, etc. while maintaining the cleanliness of the service area.
  • Greet employees and take customer orders efficiently by following established recipes and standards.
  • Serve and say Goodbye politely to customers in a manner that allows you keep service moving along.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Operate food service equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist in maintaining current and accurate food prices, inventory management, estimating food and beverage consumption, and liaison with vendors.
  • Be present and available to employees by constantly monitoring the environment and employees for cues showing your attentiveness and willingness to serve.
  • Perform regular audits and review of equipment and resources for functionality, repair, and safety; reporting any potential concerns or equipment failures immediately to the respective owners.
  • Ensure proper presentation, product preparation, maintenance of proper serving temperatures, portion and quality control by following corporate policies, HACCP standards, and adherence to appropriate Board of Health standards across multiple areas.
  • Maintain proper attire and hygiene as it relates to Board of Health and Hygiene Standards (e.g. Hair restraint, clean attire, no fingernail polish, no dangling or food-contaminating jewelry or accessories, etc.).
  • Complete training to understand food and Board of Health regulations, menu execution requirements, allergens, and accurate customer communication.
  • Coordinate with Tech Support or B&G on any shared equipment or functions necessary in the execution of employee services functions.
  • Train and/or be licensed in operating equipment such as lifts and corporately provided transit (golf carts, corporate vehicles, etc). Note: In order to operate corporate provided transit, you may be asked to provide proof of proper licensing or credentials and eligibility to operate at the time, prior to operation.)
  • Provide back-up for HR or Employee Services functions as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Display effective communication skills with employees and visitors.
  • Train and/or be licensed in operating equipment such as lifts and corporately provided transit (golf carts, corporate vehicles, etc.). Note: To operate corporate provided transit, you are required to provide proof of proper licensing or credentials prior to operation.
  • Display well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Exhibit general knowledge in point-of-sale systems, menu management and demonstrate basic proficiency in food service equipment.
  • Must be in healthy physical condition, able to stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work a modified schedule outside of normal office hours, including some early mornings and as requested some evenings and weekends.
  • Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.
  • Ensure and maintain the highest level of health and not possess any communicable disease (see Section 8. Sanitation of Public Eating and Drinking Establishments Rule 410 1AC7-24.1 Indiana State Board of Health)
  • Be prepared to participate in and communicate with Buildings and Grounds and safe team processes regarding emergency response situations.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license is required to be able to drive company vehicles to go shopping for supplies and products as needed.
  • Up to one year of experience in a corporate, food service, or hospitality environment is required.
  • Some experience in a bakery, as a barista, or line cook desired.
  • One to two years of administrative or front desk management experience is desired.
  • Familiarity with de-escalation training, conflict management, and dealing with difficult people is desired.
  • An associate degree in hospitality or related field is desired.
