Mill Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role:

As the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance team, ensuring plant reliability, production targets, and continuous improvement across operations. This is a practical, hands-on position plays a key role in the success of our sugar milling operations.

• Coordinate and direct the Mill maintenance team, ensuring WHS, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Provide technical advice and support on maintenance across operations.
• Plan and oversee maintenance projects to improve plant efficiency and reliability.
• Assist with maintenance planning, budgeting, and administration tasks.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs and improvement projects to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
• Monitor team performance, conduct annual reviews, and support staff development.
• Carry out audits and ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and food quality requirements.
• Actively participate in company safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or experience in maintenance engineering with management/supervisory experience.
• Experience in milling, refinery, or food processing industries preferred.
• Strong IT / Computer skills, with an ability to analyse, collate and generate concise reports and use Maintenance management systems.
• Workplace Health and Safety awareness and first aid knowledge.
• Current drivers licence.
