Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee the construction of Pump Station project in Dallas, TX.

The QC Manager is required to be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, with a minimum of five years construction quality control experience on construction similar in scope and complexity, or a person with a minimum of ten years construction experience, of which a minimum of five years’ experience must be in construction quality control on construction similar to this contract. 

Responsibilities

• The CQC System Manager is responsible for the project’s quality control and has authority over all CQC matters.
• Develop, submit, and maintain the CQC Plan in accordance with USACE specs (often EM 385-1-1 and project-specific sections.
• Review and approve submittals before sending to designer of record (DOR) and Government for approval.
• The CQC System Manager is responsible for ensuring that the construction work complies with all contract requirements and quality standards.
• The CQC System Manager must ensure that all phases of control (preparatory, initial, and follow-up) are carried out to meet quality requirements.
• Track submittals and RFI’s using RMS/ProCore.
• Prepare and submit Daily QC Reports in RMS.
• Coordinate and oversee all required third party testing (soil compaction, concrete, welding, etc.)
• Identify non-conforming work, issue and track deficiencies accordingly and verify corrective actions meet contractual requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact with USACE Quality assurance (QA) personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is required. 
  • 10 years of relevant work experience on federal projects (USACE/ Airforce/ NAVFAC/GSA)
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings/plans/specifications; to include site/civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Experience with Resident Management System (RMS)
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft (word, Excel, etc.)
  • USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) certification required.
