Communications Construction Supervisor

Summary/Objective The Construction Supervisor’s primary role is to work in conjunction with Project Managers to assure jobs are completed in a timely fashion and according to customer requirements. Responsible for checking the quality of work performed on construction sites and remedying quality as necessary Provide direction to staff to ensure efficient and cost effective operation within approved operating budgets Responsible for total management of assigned staff. This includes hiring, disciplining, training and supervision of employees Coordinate construction plans with crews and sub-contractors Complete and maintain all necessary project paperwork Communicate with management on project progress and developments Serves the liaison between the Company, customers and utilities Responsible for ordering and tracking construction materials May lay-out and design construction maps, and work from the maps of others Responsible to identify unsafe / hazardous conditions for self, other employees, customers, and the general public Adhere to all established company safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned § Must be willing to travel Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have good customer relations and communication skills Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times Must have RF & OSP construction experience Be self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Must have at least five (5) years' experience as communications construction supervisor Must have a valid driver's license with 2 years' driving experience and a clear driving record Additional Eligibility Qualifications § Ability to pass a criminal background screen § Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background test § Pre-employment drug screening § Ability to perform the physical duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation § Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks Cable Services Company, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer minorities / females / veterans / individuals with disabilities / sexual orientation / gender identity Requirements Please note that only applications from individuals residing in the United States will be considered for this position.
