Business Strategy & Transformation Consultant – Commercial & Specialty Insurance

Capco is looking for a Business Strategy & Transformation Consultant to join our Business Consulting practice, supporting Commercial & Specialty Insurance clients through complex business and technology transformation.

Working with leading insurers across the London Market and wider Commercial & Specialty Insurance sector, you'll help clients define strategy, design Target Operating Models, optimise business performance and deliver transformation that responds to evolving customer expectations, regulatory change, digital innovation and commercial priorities.

You'll work across a broad range of strategic engagements, including business strategy, enterprise transformation, Target Operating Model design, organisational effectiveness, business process optimisation, digital transformation, operating model evolution and business change. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you'll help translate strategic ambition into practical, measurable outcomes that deliver sustainable value.

Working as part of multidisciplinary consulting teams, you'll collaborate across underwriting, claims, distribution, operations, technology, data, finance and risk functions to solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful change. You'll also leverage approved AI tools and AI-enabled ways of working to enhance analysis, accelerate delivery and improve decision-making, applying appropriate human judgement and responsible AI principles throughout.

• →Partner with Commercial & Specialty Insurance clients to define business strategies and deliver transformation aligned to growth, operational excellence and customer objectives.
• →Assess business capabilities, operating models, organisational structures and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, simplification and value creation.
• →Design Target Operating Models, future-state business capabilities and strategic roadmaps that enable clients to achieve their long-term business objectives.
• →Facilitate workshops and collaborate with business, underwriting, claims, operations, technology, data and risk stakeholders to shape transformation priorities, define requirements and support successful delivery.
• →Apply structured problem-solving, data-driven insight and AI-enabled ways of working to improve analysis, accelerate delivery and support better business outcomes.

• Experience delivering business strategy, business analysis or transformation consulting within Commercial & Specialty Insurance or the wider Insurance sector.
• Experience supporting strategic transformation initiatives, including Target Operating Model design, operating model evolution, business transformation, organisational change or business process improvement.
• Strong understanding of Commercial & Specialty Insurance operating models and core business functions, including underwriting, claims, distribution, policy administration or broker operations.
• Excellent consulting, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
• Curiosity for modern technologies and AI-enabled ways of working, with the ability to apply approved AI tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and insight.

• Experience across the London Market, Lloyd's, Commercial or Specialty Insurance.
• Knowledge of digital transformation, AI, automation, data strategy, operational resilience or customer transformation initiatives.
• Experience with business architecture, capability modelling, enterprise transformation, TOM implementation or strategic change programmes.
• Understanding of regulatory change, underwriting transformation, claims modernisation or broker transformation.
• Previous consulting experience within Financial Services or a leading management consultancy.
