We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Solutions Architect (Principal Consultant) to lead the architecture and technical delivery of modern digital insurance applications. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring a strong blend of solution design, technical leadership, software engineering expertise, and practical experience leveraging AI to accelerate application development and delivery.
As the Solution Architect, you will define end-to-end solution architecture, guide development teams, and help rapidly design and build scalable Insurance applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and enterprise architects to modernize and transform the insurance technology landscape.
A key part of the role will be identifying practical opportunities to leverage AI across Commercial Insurance solutions and throughout the software development lifecycle, while ensuring appropriate security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Define and own end-to-end architecture for Insurance applications, aligned with business and enterprise architecture objectives.
- →Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to engineering teams from design through delivery.
- →Design modern microservices, APIs, cloud-native integrations, and scalable digital platforms.
- →Leverage Generative AI and AI-assisted development to accelerate solution design, prototyping, development, testing, and delivery.
- →Identify opportunities to embed AI into Insurance workflows and applications.
- →Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate complex insurance requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- →Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, data privacy, responsible AI, and governance.
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or technical leadership.
- Strong Insurance domain experience, with an understanding of areas such as quoting, underwriting, policy administration, distribution/broker workflows, and servicing.
- Expertise in microservices, distributed systems, API-first architectures, cloud-native applications, and modern integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI-assisted development, or integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent consulting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience delivering Commercial Insurance digital transformation, PoCs, or product accelerators.
- Experience with GenAI/LLM solutions, RAG, AI agents, model APIs, or enterprise AI platforms.
- Understanding of Responsible AI, data privacy, security, and governance within regulated environments.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including AI/GenAI services.
- Hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, Python, or modern AI development frameworks.
- Consulting experience within Financial Services or Insurance mainly commercial insurance.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.

The base pay offered to selected candidates will be within the salary range and the placement will vary based upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity.
