The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational leader, partnering closely with leadership and field teams to drive organizational effectiveness.

This role goes beyond traditional HR-you'll act as a trusted advisor, balancing employee advocacy with business needs while ensuring compliance, optimizing HR systems, and strengthening workforce engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for employee relations issues across assigned regions
  • Conduct complex workplace investigations (harassment, policy violations, performance concerns) with objectivity and confidentiality
  • Provide coaching to managers on performance management, disciplinary action, and employee development
  • Lead root-cause analysis for turnover trends and implement targeted retention strategies
  • Facilitate stay interviews, exit interviews, and employee feedback initiatives
  • Promote a positive employee experience aligned with I.C.A.R.E. values
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, EEOC, I-9, etc.)
  • Conduct routine and audit-ready personnel file reviews to ensure compliance
  • Oversee I-9 verification and audit processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review and assess background checks for employment eligibility decisions
  • Maintain and update:
    • Employee handbook
    • HR policies and procedures
    • Job descriptions
  • Lead and support regulatory reporting and audit preparation
  • Act as the HRIS expert (ADP preferred) supporting system optimization and troubleshooting
  • Maintain data integrity, ensuring accuracy across employee records and reporting
  • Analyze key HR metrics (turnover, retention, compliance trends) to guide decisions
  • Identify opportunities to:
    • Automate manual processes
    • Improve workflow efficiency
    • Standardize HR operations across regions
  • Maintain centralized documentation (SOPs, templates, HR forms)

 

  • Partner with leadership teams to align HR strategy with business goals
  • Provide insights and recommendations on:
    • Workforce planning
    • Organizational structure
    • Talent management
  • Support growth initiatives, including M&A integration activities
  • Act as a change agent, helping leaders manage organizational changes smoothly

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR (HRBP, Generalist, or Employee Relations)
  • Strong background in:
    • Employee relations
    • Workplace investigations
    • Compliance and audits
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (ADP strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Experience supporting multi-site or healthcare environments
  • Exposure to M&A or organizational change management
  • Strong analytical and reporting experience
  • Occasional travel to regional offices based on business needs
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Alignment with I.C.A.R.E. values in daily interactions and decision-making
  • High-speed, reliable internet for video conferencing and system access
  • Quiet, distraction-free workspace ensuring confidentiality
  • Ability to remain highly responsive and collaborative in a remote environment
