NAVAIR Systems Administrator

 

As our next Systems Admin supporting NAVAIR, you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation.

• →Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• →Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
• →Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• →Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• →Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• →Manage user accounts and permissions.
• →Deploy and maintain software applications.
• →Troubleshoot technical issues.
• →Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• →Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
• →Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance
• →Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.
• →Participate in project planning using Agile methodology.
• →Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
• →Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking

• Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start). Must be a U.S. Citizen
• CompTIA Sec+ 
• Windows or Linux OS Certification 
• at least 5 Years of experience in the below bullet points 
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience a must (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution)
• Desired skillsets: VMWare, Virtual Networking, System Backups, Networking, Containers, Active Directory experience

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $79,500.00/Yr. - USD $132,800.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
