At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will perform software development and verification for embedded software for a wide variety of advanced aviation systems.
You will work in small teams that must quickly become familiar with complex applications, tools, and software, following standardized procedures to comply with international aviation industry requirements for airborne software.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop embedded software for a variety of advanced avionics systems.
- →Develop software following the various coding standards that apply to the aeronautical industry.
- →Write software requirements according to industry standards.
- →Work hand in hand with the verification team under a Test-Driven Development environment.
- →Test the code and prototypes for next generation aviation equipment.
- →Develop test cases following the means of compliance for software and hardware certification.
- →Learn and use different test automation tools for software and hardware.
- →Generate detailed documentation of testing results.
- →Review the source code, requirements, tests and documentation for the product to ensure their certification.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- Strong knowledge of computer architectures, digital and analog circuits
- 1 – 3 years of experience developing embedded software using C/C++
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Fast learner
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with embedded and real-time operating systems
