Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is looking for an Anesthesia Tech to work Full-time day shift within our Main OR. The Anesthesia Tech demonstrates through clinical practice a clear understanding of aseptic techniques and has a working knowledge of the specialized equipment and supplies utilized by the Anesthesiologist/Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA).

~1 min read- →Restocks the anesthesia supplies, equipment and drugs in the operating room after each case.
- →Maintains and assures adequate inventory levels of anesthesia supplies in departmental service areas and is responsible for ordering these supplies.
- →Cleans and maintains the equipment utilized in the delivery of anesthetic service.
- →Sets up all invasive monitoring lines as requested by anesthesia.
- →Responds and assists Anesthesiologist/CRNA with all perioperative anesthesia emergencies.
- →Demonstrates competency in specific tasks and skills defined by the Surgical Services specific competency list.
- →Communicates appropriate information to the Anesthesiologist/CRNA and perioperative nursing staff.
- →Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications (excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy drugs) throughout the facility.
- →May have limited access to areas storing medications.
- →Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Requirements

- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Prior Anesthesia Tech experience strongly preferred
