You will join the team of The Sun of our client, News UK, as a Mid/Senior iOS Engineer.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs an iOS Engineer you will work alongside our other engineers, product owners and stakeholders to ensure that what we build is best in class and fit for purpose. You’ll be a key component of a cross-functional team delivering quality software. You’ll interact with product owners and stakeholders, contribute to the technical conversations and ensure that what we build is best in class and fit for purpose. You’ll report to a Principal Engineer and will help him deliver on the technical strategy and tactical implementation. You will also be:
- →Following best practices to ensure good code quality is maintained
- →Supporting existing, and developing new, features to support business needs across all Sun
- →Helping to define requirements and create tickets
- →Assisting with the release process to deploy new features/fixes to production
- →Leveraging AI to boost productivity
Requirements
~1 min read- Native iOS application development with both modern and legacy systems
- Solid commercial iOS development using Swift
- Strong experience with SwiftUI for modern UI development
- Experience with RxSwift for reactive programming and asynchronous operations
- Experience maintaining and refactoring legacy UIKit-based systems
- Understanding of both modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI) and legacy patterns (MVP)
- Firm grasp of object-oriented software development and tiered design
- An ability to deliver solutions with iOS UI/UX principles in mind
- TDD using testing frameworks such as Jest or Webdriver and Appium
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
- Experience with mobile development issues related to performance optimisation, caching, security and native components / SDKs
- Familiarity with AI tooling options and exploring their capabilities
- Experience with NodeJS and AWS cloud platform is beneficial
