MAG Aerospace is bidding on a high-level program and hiring for a well-seasoned Senior Program Manager to oversee operations supporting a multitude of infantry fighting / support vehicles / battle tanks concerning their technical upgrades/integrations.
This contract is a new initiative, and the Sr. Program Manager will be afforded the ability to shape and grow this effort from the “ground up.”
Two (2) subordinate PMs will support and answer to this Sr. Program Manager position.
The main place of performance will be a contractor facility near Aberdeen Proving Grounds – Aberdeen, MD but occasional travel to multiple military sites, both CONUS and OCONUS, will be required for the oversight of the program.
Responsibilities

- →Applies a broad knowledge of program management to accomplish the management and administration of assigned projects.
- →Perform management consisting of requirement solicitation, project evaluation, overseeing subcontractor(s), and contract(s) closing activities
- →Conduct schedule management including IMS-level task/activity definition and sequencing, resource estimating, task duration estimating, schedule development, and schedule control activities.
- →Develop and execute project plans, and conduct integrated change control activities.
- →Manage project scope to include project initiation, scope planning, scope definition, and scope change control activities.
- →Conduct cost management to include resource planning, cost estimating, budgeting and cost control activities.
- →Support organizational planning, project team acquisition, and staff development activities.
- →Conduct risk management planning, risk identification, risk quantitative and qualitative analysis, response planning, monitoring, and control activities.
- →Support quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control activities.
- →Support the Government-led Engineering Review Board (ERB), Configuration Management Working Group (CMWG), and Configuration Control Board (CCB) with Subject Matter Experts as required.
- →Provide communications planning, information distribution, progress and performance reporting, and stakeholder communications management activities.
- →Coordinate and develop procedures relating to financial management, acquisition, implementation, distribution, and logistical support for hardware, software, supplies, and services required by projects.
- →Reviews program documentation and makes decisions concerning long-range plans, policies and schedules to improve the programmatic and technical effectiveness of the management team.
- →Conceives new approaches to various near term and long-range projects and presents to the Program Officer for approval.

Requirements
~1 min read- Fifteen (15) years of required experience as an Operations OR Program Manager OR Battalion Commander or the combination of all.
- Past work concerning oversight and management for a variance of Military Vehicles
- Expert understanding and knowledge of DoD program /contract requirements
- Proven capabilities in all aspects of program management including contract performance management, resource/cost management, schedule estimation and tracking, personnel staffing, risk management, requirements analysis, quality assurance activities, design and development of processes and procedures
- Master’s Degree required. A Bachelor's Degree combined with additional years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitution.
- Must Have - Project Management Professional “PMP” OR DAWIA Level III Program Management
- Must Currently Hold a Secret Security Clearance or Higher
- US Citizenship required
The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
