Aquarist Lead

As an Aquarist Lead, you’ll be at the heart of it all: leading a passionate team, caring for an amazing aquatic collection, and making every day feel a little bit magical.

• →Lead the daily care of our aquatic animals—from feeding time to health checks
• →Keep habitats thriving with water quality testing and life support system oversight
• →Be the go-to leader for Aquarists and Animal Welfare Hosts—coaching, guiding, and inspiring
• →Jump into dive operations (yes, you’ll be in the water!) and support dive programs
• →Keep detailed records of animal care, treatments, and exhibit conditions
• →Help plan coverage and keep the team running smoothly day-to-day
• →Bring the experience to life by engaging with guests during public feeds
• →Spot issues before they become problems and take action to keep everything on track

You’re equal parts animal expert and people leader. You set the tone for your team—positive, reliable, and always ready to jump in.

Must-haves:

• Experience working with aquatic animals
• SCUBA certification (non-negotiable—we need you in the water!)
• Leadership experience or clear ability to lead and motivate others

You’ll stand out if you also have:

• A degree in Life Sciences (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience in an aquarium or zoo setting
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Advanced dive certifications (Divemaster or higher)
