Responsibilities

The NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible and accountable for the quality of nursing care provided in the NICU.

  • →Providing policies, procedures, clinical orientation, staff development, mentoring, consultation, and the maintenance of state and national standards of care.
  • →The CNS is responsible for the collection, submission, evaluation and dissemination of required data.
  • →The NICU education plan is developed and implemented in consultation with the NICU Nursing and Medical Directors.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
