The Aga Khan University Hospital is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. The Office of Clinical Nursing Practice and Innovation is responsible for advancing nursing excellence through quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient safety, innovation, accreditation readiness, and professional practice development to achieve outstanding patient outcomes and support organizational strategic goals.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to ensure high standards of patient care and safety across nursing services, provide leadership for quality, safety, and risk management initiatives, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, oversees quality and safety data analysis and reporting, participate in key committees, and foster staff engagement and innovation to enhance patient outcomes and care excellence.

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • →implement clinical governance frameworks to ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and continuous quality improvement across all patient care settings
  • →facilitate strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of quality standards to ensure regulatory, accreditation and organizational standards
  • →minimize risk and drive quality initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • →collaborate with clinical staff, administration, and support staff to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.
  • →establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to patient care, safety and compliance and use the data to identify areas for improvement
  • →provide education and training on nursing quality standards and compliance issues
  • →represent the Office of Clinical Nursing Practice and Innovation (OCNPI) Office at hospital leadership meetings and at inter-departmental task force meetings.

Requirements

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree from a recognized institution, preferably Master’s in Nursing (MScN) degree or equivalent along with current registration with the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • at least five years of relevant experience in a progressive nursing career preferably in an acute care setting, of which at least two years of experience should be at nursing management level
  • demonstrated experience in leading quality improvement, research, compliance to accreditation and regulatory standards, andr change management initiatives.
  • ability to evaluate policies, documentation, and clinical practices to maintain accuracy
  • expertise in evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and performance improvement
  • adept in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting nursing quality and patient safety data
  • excellent leadership, project management, and change management skills
  • ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and influence nursing practice changes across Nursing Services
  • proficiency in quality management systems, data analytics, and Microsoft Office applications
  • willingness to accept additional responsibilities and work in shifts on need-basis.

This will be close-ended contractual position for a period of four months. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
