Berry Street Yooralla is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager, HRIS & Payroll Compliance to lead a complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiative. This is a strategic, high-profile program with Executive and Board visibility, focused on strengthening HR systems, payroll integrity, and compliance across the organisation.
You’ll bring strong delivery expertise, a pragmatic mindset, and the ability to navigate complexity—ensuring outcomes are delivered in a sustainable, people-centred way.

• Hybrid role: Melbourne Office on Wurundjeri Country
• Full Time, Fixed term (18 months)
• Competitive Salary + Super and Salary packing
• Occasional travel to other offices across Victoria.


As Senior Program Manager, HRIS & Payroll Compliance, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a multi-stream HRIS and wage compliance program, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, governance frameworks, and operational needs.
Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you will drive delivery, manage risk proactively, and build strong engagement across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery, and governance of a complex HRIS transformation program
• Manage multiple workstreams (technical and non-technical)
• Oversee scope, budget, risks, issues and dependencies
• Prepare reports, insights, and recommendations for Executive and Board stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure alignment between business needs, technical solutions, and program outcomes
• Lead and support program team members to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Embed strong project and change management practices

You are a seasoned senior program leader who thrives in complex environments and brings a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
You will have:

• Extensive experience (8+ years) delivering large, high-risk transformation programs
• Strong experience with HRIS and payroll / wage compliance systems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
• Exceptional communication skills, including influencing at Executive and Board level
• Experience delivering complex workforce compliance, payroll integrity or remediation programs
• Experience identifying and managing workforce or payroll compliance risks, including implementing governance, audit or assurance practices.
• Strong understanding of Fair Work/industrial relations frameworks
• A calm, adaptable approach with the ability to manage ambiguity and pressure
