Blue Spruce Animal Clinic in Castle Rock is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team.Located in downtown Castle Rock, our clinic has a calm, homey feel with plenty of natural light and an easygoing atmosphere. When the day is done, restaurants, shops, and the Plum Creek Trail are just a short walk away.  A Practice Built for Quality MedicineOur spacious clinic includes four exam rooms, a comfort room, surgical suites, an X-ray room, and a dedicated treatment area with great flow throughout the hospital. We see primarily dogs and cats, with about 5% of our caseload made up of exotics. Our exotic patients include rabbits, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, snakes, hedgehogs, iguanas, and tortoises.If you enjoy exotics medicine, we'd love to hear from you. Having another veterinarian who is comfortable seeing exotics would be a huge benefit to our team and our clients. We also offer:• In-house ultrasound• Laser therapy• Digital and in-house diagnostic capabilities through IDEXX• Dental equipment and ultrasonic cleaning• Three anesthesia machines• Two surgical suites• AI-supported medical records• Dental procedures and surgery• Occasional walk-in and emergency appointments Doctors see up to 16 patients per day, with 30-minute appointments for both wellness and sick visits. Surgery days are scheduled separately, so you're not trying to squeeze procedures in between appointments.  A Team That Enjoys Coming to WorkOur doctors have two technicians or assistants assigned to them, including dedicated support on surgery days. With seven technicians and assistants currently on staff, you can focus on practicing medicine while your team helps keep the day moving.We genuinely like working together and try to keep the environment positive, supportive, and drama-free. We also make time to enjoy each other outside of work with a summer gathering and holiday party each year.  Your Schedule MattersWork-life balance is important to us. Our full-time schedule is four 10-hour shifts, with three appointment days and one dedicated surgery day. The first appointment begins at 8:00 a.m. and the last scheduled appointment is at 5:30 p.m. A two-hour midday block gives you time for lunch, callbacks, records, and sedated procedures.Part-time opportunities are also available with three 10-hour shifts, including two appointment days and one surgery day.There are no after-hours or on-call requirements, and we make every effort to have our doctors out the door around 6:00 to 6:15 p.m. once records are complete. Saturdays are part of the schedule and will be a requirement (not alternating)  Mentorship and GrowthNew graduates may be considered, and we're committed to providing meaningful support for doctors who are early in their careers. This can include longer appointment times initially, scheduled blocks for completing records, supervised surgery, and specialized dental training in Colorado Springs.Experienced veterinarians are welcome too.
