As a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an active role in patient care and the practice's daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting exam room appointments and patient care
- Performing laboratory-related duties within your training and experience
- Preparing patients and the clinical area for surgery
- Assisting with dentistry
- Monitoring anesthesia
- Placing IV catheters and performing phlebotomy
- Educating clients with friendliness, clarity, and compassion
- Assisting with reception responsibilities as needed
- Maintaining clean, organized patient-care and work areas
- Providing compassionate care to clients and patients
- Collaborating with the veterinary team to support thorough, high-quality medicine
- Continuing to learn and develop your technical skills
We’re looking for someone who is motivated to contribute, eager to learn, and comfortable being an active member of the veterinary team.
You’ll bring:
- Veterinary technician certification or veterinary assistant experience appropriate for the role
- Great communication and people skills
- Strong organizational skills
- A dependable work ethic
- A highly motivated and team-oriented approach
- Comfort working with both people and animals
- Friendliness and compassion when caring for patients and interacting with clients
- IV catheter placement and phlebotomy skills
- A willingness to learn and develop additional technical skills
- The ability to help in different areas of the practice when needed
- The physical ability to stand, kneel, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds as required to perform the position
